These Terms apply to the Green Journal app and website, operated by Green Journal LLC (GREEN JOURNAL LTD. LIABILITY CO., “Green Journal”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). They explain your responsibilities and the limits of our journaling, community, and related services.
1. Using Green Journal
By using the app or website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the services. Green Journal is for adults aged 18 or older and requires any higher age that applies where you live. You must comply with local laws. Access to the app does not mean cannabis possession, purchase, or use is lawful in your location.
Keep your account credentials secure and provide accurate account information. You are responsible for the content you submit, your device, connectivity, and applicable data charges.
2. Ownership and license
Green Journal and its licensors retain rights in the app, website, branding, and original service content. Your use of the iOS app is also governed by Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement. These Terms supplement that agreement for our services and do not replace rights or obligations under it.
You retain ownership of your own entries, photos, and other original content. You grant us permission to host, process, display, and transmit that content as needed to provide the features you use, including sharing you choose and moderation. This permission does not transfer ownership of your content to us. Only upload content you have the right to use.
You may not misuse the services, bypass access controls, interfere with other users, or copy or distribute our proprietary material without permission, except as allowed by law or the applicable license.
3. Journaling, scans, AI, and personal insights
Green Journal helps you document products, stash, purchases, sessions, moods, effects, and personal observations. Package scans, receipt imports, COA information, voice entries, Herbie responses, and other assisted features may contain omissions or errors. Review imported and generated information before saving or relying on it.
Rate My Weed evaluates visible presentation in a photograph. It cannot establish strain identity, potency, genetics, contamination, safety, or expected effects. A photograph or AI report is not a laboratory test, product certification, or medical assessment. Personal patterns describe your records and do not guarantee future results.
Green Journal does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or emergency monitoring. Health readings and fitness information are for personal tracking and may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. Consult a qualified professional for medical decisions.
4. Places, Tap In, and activity tracking
Maps, place listings, Tap In history, run routes, distances, and activity displays depend on device permissions, positioning, connectivity, and third-party information. Results may be inaccurate or unavailable. Listings and product information do not guarantee availability, legal eligibility, product quality, or endorsement. Green Journal does not sell cannabis.
Use activity features only when it is safe to interact with your device. Do not use them while driving or in another situation where distraction creates a hazard. Review sharing settings before publishing location or route information.
5. Community and conversations
Green Forum, Green Conversations, shared journals, comments, and other community features allow interaction with others. Do not post unlawful content, threats, harassment, hate, sexual exploitation, deceptive promotions, private information about others without permission, or offers to unlawfully buy or sell controlled substances.
Use available reporting and blocking controls, or contact us to report a problem. We may review reports, remove content, restrict features, or suspend accounts for violations, security risks, or legal requirements. We do not guarantee that every contribution is reviewed before it appears.
Other participants can see or hear content you share in a room. Do not record, redistribute, or disclose another person’s conversation without their permission and any consent required by law. Community opinions and user reports are not verified professional advice.
6. Green Journal Pro and payments
Green Journal offers free features and optional Pro subscriptions with monthly and annual plans. Current prices, billing periods, included features, and any usage limits are shown in the app before purchase. Do not assume assisted scans or AI features are unlimited. Monthly and annual plans offer the same Pro features unless a purchase screen explicitly states otherwise.
Apple processes App Store purchases. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled through your Apple account settings. For a free or discounted trial, cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends if you do not want it to renew. Manage subscriptions in your App Store account settings; refund requests are handled through Apple, subject to applicable consumer rights. Deleting the app or your Green Journal account does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription.
Your existing journal history remains available without Pro, although access to paid tools is limited when a subscription ends. Feature availability may vary with app version, device, region, service capacity, and permissions.
7. Privacy and third-party services
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle account information, content, optional health and location data, AI requests, and community interactions. Service providers include Firebase, RevenueCat, OpenAI, LiveKit, Apple services, and Squarespace, as applicable to the features you use.
External websites and services have their own terms. We do not control their content or availability. Nothing in this section removes our obligations for personal information we handle.
8. Availability and liability
The services are provided “as is” and “as available”, to the extent permitted by law. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that user content, imported details, or AI responses will be accurate. Keep copies of information important to you.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses caused by device problems, connectivity failures, third-party outages, or reliance on inaccurate user content. Our aggregate liability under these Terms is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim, except where such a limitation is prohibited.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Your mandatory consumer rights, including applicable UK and other local consumer protections, remain unaffected.
9. Changes and ending use
We may update the services and these Terms. We will post revised Terms with an updated date and provide additional notice or obtain agreement where required by law. Changes do not override rights you already have under applicable law.
You may stop using the services at any time. Account and data deletion options are described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate access for material violations, unlawful use, or risks to others or the service, subject to applicable law.
